PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: A new threat hangs over mankind: from the coldest depths of sidereal space, a humongous creature of flesh, stone and metal is destroying entire planets pouring terror throughout the universe. After every attempt of peaceful communication with the being has failed, all the races of mankind must unite to face this new menace getting rid of all the internal conflicts: there’s no way to counter-attack the gigantic enemy with a large-scale operation. All the chances of mankind are in the hands of a single starship with the mission of intruding into the enemy body and destroy it from inside. The starship, baptized BladeWing, will dig its way through the surface of the monster destroying all the defenses and setting up a spiral-network of bombs that will finally explode all together after the internal brain of the creature has been reached. BladeWing’s wings have been built with the most sophisticated alloy produced by mankinf: "Duridium", which gives the chance to cut almost every known form of matter. For technical reasons, however, it is not possible to protect the starship’s cockpit with Duridium, so this is a vulnerable part that can only occasionally be protected by a shield, when a compatible source of energy is found. BladeWing can also absorb energy from several kinds of other sources and convert it into firepower. The player will fight the enemy’s "immune-system", enforced by any kind of technology absorbed from destroyed planets, to reach the optimal locations to place the bombs, then neutralize the enemy brain and detonate all the bombs, possibly escaping before the total destruction. BladeWing is a side scrolling, fast-paced, shoot ‘em up game based on brilliant graphics and intriguing settings while featuring easy-to-use control for a very addictive gameplay.
