Bitween S.R.L enters the
USA
Bitween, of Milan, Italy (www.bitween
.com) announced the opening of an American branch that will
develop strategic relationships with other firms
specializing in new technologies in cellular telephony,
serve as the sales and business developer with large North
American companies, including North American offices of
international companies Bitween already has existing
relationships with in Europe.
In Italy, Bitween is still not very well known. However, in
international circles of cellular telephony, Bitween enjoys
a broad level of recognition as its products are used all
over the world. Bitween is an official partner of Nokia and
Sony Ericcson, and is a Symbian Platinum Partner. Symbian,
the largest producer of operating systems for cellular
telephones, awarded Bitweens Remote Control the
"Best Business Application or Service" at the
international conference Symbian Exposium03 in April 2003.
Now besides the original site (www.bitween.com), the new
American branch, Bitween USA is on line at the new address (www.bitweenusa.com),
where it will support the commercial activity for the U.S.
area with product information and on-line sales. The Bitween
USA office is located in Irvine, California, and already has
three people that are devoted to the development of new
business opportunities in that very large market.
Bitween USA was created by a partnership with Gallium Group,
a market consulting company that develops business
opportunities in North American. Gallium Group and Bitween
USA will support the activity of Bitween in some specific
strategies. These include direct sales to the consumer,
business development for very large corporate accounts, new
market development for Bitweens business solutions, and
developing publishing relationships for Bitweens video
games.
Vincenzo La Ragione, managing director of the firm,
referring to the U.S. opportunity said, "over the
years, Bitween has developed competencies for software
development that serve multiple user segments of the market.
Our primary objective is to develop and define our American
presence by establishing important new commercial alliances
with US firms and branches of International companies,
especially the telephone carriers and larger companies
operating in the video game space."
The American market is comprised of many telephone carriers
that Bitweens products and services can create value for
as commercial strategies. Besides the games for cellular
telephones that are the traditional stand-alone games, the
Milan based firm already has over-the-air multiplayer
solutions, games that in practice can be played the moment
the telephone connection is active without actions having to
be memorized on the terminal. These services create a very
interesting value proposition for the carriers, as they can
generate systemic growth of telephone traffic based on
entertainment.
Bitween USAs on-line sales and direct business
development will occur simultaneously. Bitweens goal is
that, in time, there will be the possibility to strengthen
alliances with one or more distributors and get the coverage
of the entire America market. "In every case"
